Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is excited to find a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team! Clinicians are expected to have 70% direct patient care in addition to mentoring and collaboration across disciplines.


Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary outpatient private practice in need of a licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. We are a growing and fast-paced campus that offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a traditional clinical setting, as well as on our ranch, with the incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive evidence-based plan (hippotherapy.)

Essential Functions

  • Provide direct occupational therapy to children and follows documented treatment plans or protocols.
  • Help patient accomplish goals outlines in treatment plan to increase independence in activities of daily living skills by administering therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercises, and sensory skills.
  • Document patient performance such as tallying data.
  • Prepare therapy materials and/or equipment for use in therapy activities.
  • Adapt or modify materials and equipment as determined by the needs of the patient.
  • May work in a variety of setting including clinic, ranch, or tele health services.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Collaborate with team members of other disciplines as well as administrative staff.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation;?anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment with primary occupational therapist.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

The compensation range varies based on experience, $62,400.00 - $72,800.00a year.

Clinicians also have the opportunity to earn a WEEKLY bonus!

Requirements

  • Possess a valid California COTA License
  • Pediatric experience a plus!
  • Clear Livescan
  • TB Test
  • CPR Healthcare Provider Card
  • Availability must include until 7pm during weekdays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility
  • Be a Strong-Team Player
  • Have a desire to continue to grow as a professional
  • Regularly stand, bend, stoop, lift and move intermittently during shift
  • Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 50lbs
  • Must be able to push or pull wheeled items over 100lbs.
