About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, support reporting and budgeting processes, and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting function. This is a great fit for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to grow and take ownership of meaningful work.


What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and statements

• Assist in budget preparation by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data

• Perform daily account reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns

• Support month-end and year-end close processes

• Help monitor and enforce internal controls to protect company assets

• Assist with audits and provide documentation to external auditors

• Collect, interpret, and report on financial data to communicate the company's financial condition

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency

• Maintain systems and controls that support data integrity

• Communicate professionally with coworkers, management, vendors, and clients

• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and procedures


What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Familiarity with general ledger functions and close processes

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online

• Experience working with AI tools in a professional setting

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Clear and professional communication skills
