About the Role

The Construction Project Supervisor oversees training, quality control, and crew management. This role involves dispatching crews each morning, ensuring a clear understanding of work orders, verifying that quality standards are upheld, and guaranteeing that crews work safely while staying within budget.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Accountability: 
    • Oversee, lead and manage landscape construction services, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and service expectations but not limited to: stone patios, walkways, steps, excavation and grading, retaining walls, drainage, lawn installation, and plantings.  Hold both team leaders and crew members accountable for key responsibilities, including attendance, uniforms, and performance standards.
  • Quality Control & Customer Service: 
    • Address customer complaints and damages promptly, ensuring high-quality workmanship and resolution of any issues. 
    • Maintain a focus on excellence in service delivery across all team activities.
  • Operational Excellence: 
    • Ensure compliance with weekly truck and tool service checklists to optimize crew efficiency and safety. 
    • Monitor and manage work progress to meet established standards and expectations.
  • Team Development & Training: 
    • Participate in regular check-ins with crew leaders, reviewing performance scorecards (attendance, estimated vs. actual hours, customer feedback). 
    • Provide ongoing training and support to foster continuous improvement.
  • Daily Operations & Dispatch: 
    • Lead the daily dispatch operations with your assigned teams, coordinating tasks and assignments for your crews each day.
    • Conduct daily site visits to evaluate progress, mentor team members, and provide the Project Manager with comprehensive project updates.
  • Disciplinary Actions and Team Accountability: 
    • Address performance or conduct issues in a professional and constructive manner, ensuring consistent application of company policies. 
    • Communicate disciplinary actions clearly and document them appropriately while fostering a culture of improvement and accountability among team members. 
    • Conduct routine performance feedback to crews and annual reviews for the assigned staff members.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: 
    • Participate in timely project scheduling meetings with the Project Manager to ensure project needs are met and deadlines are adhered to. 
    • Contribute to project handoff meetings, reviewing scope, milestones, and expectations for smooth transitions between teams and projects.
    • Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain crew schedules and work tickets on Aspire for active and upcoming projects.
  • Organizational Management: 
    • Utilize Project Checklist and Task Checklist to ensure all items are completed each day, resulting in better planning and communication amongst team members.
    • Complete time review for your assigned crews each day and ensure accurate material allocations to work tickets through Aspire.
  • Seasonal Snow Removal: 
    • Assist with snow removal duties (shoveling, plowing, salt/sand application) during the winter months as necessary.

Performance Measurements

  • Less than 2 employee incidents per week.
  • Project labor variance (estimated vs. actual) less than 5%.
  • Crew drive time under 10% (indirect time).
  • Accurate project allocations from inventory on the same day of use.

Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • DOT Medical Certification.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Weekends and extended hours as needed)
  • Seasonal Position that last from April - November
