Job Summary

 

As an Airside Operations Controller you will act as the central command point for real-time coordination of passenger movements and airside bus operations. This role ensures seamless alignment between aircraft readiness, boarding activities, and fleet dispatch to maintain safe, efficient, and on-time airport operations.

 

Your activities

  • Coordinate passenger boarding and disembarkation in alignment with aircraft turnaround timelines.
  • Plan, allocate, and dispatch buses based on flight schedules, stand locations, and passenger demand.
  • Serve as the central control point for all airside bus movements.
  • Monitor and maintain safe separation between vehicles, aircraft, and airside infrastructure.
  • Proactively manage real-time disruptions, including delays, equipment failures, and congestion.
  • Communicate continuously with airline, ramp, and driver teams to ensure operational alignment.
  • Enforce airside safety regulations and take immediate corrective action when required.
  • Monitor flight schedules and adjust transport plans dynamically to reflect operational changes.
  • Track fleet availability, utilisation, and serviceability to optimise resource deployment.
  • Coordinate contingency transport solutions during peak periods or irregular operations.
  • Maintain accurate operational logs and incident reports in real time.
  • Support investigations into safety incidents, delays, or service failures.
  • Provide direction and prioritisation to drivers during high-pressure or time-critical situations.
  • Liaise with maintenance teams to report vehicle defects and ensure timely resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, turnaround times, and passenger flow.

 

Your profile

  • Australian Citizen/Resident with unlimited work rights.
  • Possession of a valid Australian driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Strong situational awareness.
  • Stakeholder communication and coordination.
  • Operational planning and logistics control.
  • Safety compliance and risk management
  • Maintains composure under pressure and presents themselves with confidence.
