Painter

Position Overview:  

The Painter performs skilled work in preparing, painting, finishing, and maintaining a wide range of interior and exterior surfaces across University facilities. This role supports an attractive, safe, and functional campus environment that enhances living, learning, and working spaces. The Painter ensures all tasks meet established standards and comply with applicable building codes, health requirements, and safety regulations.

Education:

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.  
• Completion of accredited indentured apprenticeship is desired.

Experience:

• Minimum of three years prior professional painting experience is required.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current and valid PA driver’s license.

Work Related Knowledge:

• Sheetrock repair and refinishing, including new installations and repairs of existing sheetrock and other wall surfaces.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of all types of power tools and equipment.
• Ability to read work plans, blue prints and instruction/operation manuals.
• Working knowledge of practical application of basic building maintenance repair.
