About the Role

Overview

The Growth Team AI & Automations Lead uses AI and automation to help us win more work. This role sits at the center of proposals, capture, and technical teams, turning generative AI into practical tools that improve proposal quality, reduce rework, and strengthen win probability. You’ll design prompts, shape AI-generated content with evaluator intent in mind, and build workflows that replace manual effort with smart systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to modernize how proposals are built, scale what works, and apply AI responsibly in a federal environment.

Responsibilities

What Actually Matters in This Role

  • We care more about how you think than the specific tools you’ve used. We’re really looking for:
  • Strong judgment when evaluating AI-generated content.
  • Understanding win themes, discriminators, evaluator intent, and compliance risk.
  • Ability to design prompts and guidance that produce usable, compliant first drafts.
  • Comfort working across proposals, capture, solution, and technical teams to turn ideas into wins.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and refine prompts that generate compliant, evaluator-aligned first drafts.
  • Review and shape AI-generated responses with scoring impact and compliance in mind.
  • Turn structured inputs (requirements, past performance, evaluation criteria) into clear, persuasive proposal narratives.
  • Identify friction in proposal workflows and replace it with AI-enabled automation.
  • Build and maintain AI-ready content libraries that teams actually use.
  • Help define and apply practical AI governance to ensure accuracy, security, and trust.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 6–8+ years supporting proposals, capture, or growth initiatives.
  • Experience supporting proposals, capture, growth, or similar mission-driven work.
  • Strong instincts for what makes proposals competitive.
  • Curiosity, ownership, and a bias toward making things better.
  • Experience using generative AI for content development with good judgment about when and how to use it.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.
