Diesel Technicians at Gordon Truck Centers (GTC) dealerships lead the charge in workmanship, commitment to safety, and providing reliable, first-class service to our customers.

We build our team with the best employees and we're now hiring Diesel Technicians with a minimum of 2 years of heavy duty experience for the Fairbanks, AK TrailerCraft location!

As a full-service Freightliner, Western Star, Wilson Trailer dealership family, GTC can sell, finance, insure and service commercial trucks for medium and heavy-duty applications. 

Responsibilities

  • Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
  • Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
  • Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
  • Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
  • Develop technical skills through training opportunities
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the shop.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of heavy equipment dealership experience is preferred. Bring your strong mechanical aptitude, team player mentality and belief in safety first to Team GTC!
