Safety Manager (Bilingual English/Spanish Required)

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all workplace safety and health programs across multiple company locations. This position is based out of the company’s Delaware office and serves as the primary hub for safety leadership.
This role ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and applicable DOT requirements, reduces operational risks, and promotes a strong culture of safety across all facilities.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, as this position will lead training, communication, and enforcement of safety standards across a bilingual workforce.
Regular travel to Texas and Florida locations is required to support operations, conduct audits, and ensure consistent safety standards company-wide.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and standardize safety policies and procedures across all locations
- Travel regularly from Delaware to company facilities in Texas and Florida to conduct site visits, audits, and training
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable DOT regulations across all sites
- Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Conduct safety audits and inspections across yards, warehouses, and operational areas
- Deliver safety training in both English and Spanish, including forklift operation, PPE, and material handling
- Maintain accurate and consistent safety records, including OSHA logs (300, 300A), certifications, and internal reports
- Support DOT compliance efforts, including driver qualification files, vehicle safety, and regulatory requirements as applicable
- Partner with Operations and HR leadership to drive continuous safety improvements
- Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, and external audits
- Develop and implement emergency response plans across all facilities
- Identify high-risk areas and implement preventive measures to reduce incidents
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Proven experience managing safety programs across multiple locations
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and multi-state compliance
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety compliance
- Experience supporting DOT programs such as driver qualification files, hours of service, and vehicle safety preferred
- OSHA 30 certification required
- OSHA 500 (Authorized Trainer) certification strongly preferred
- CHST, CSP, or equivalent safety certification preferred
- Experience delivering safety training programs, including forklift certification, required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work both in the field and office environments
Additional Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Candidates who are not bilingual will not be considered
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly from Delaware to Texas and Florida
