JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Supervise, motivate, develop and direct maintenance staff.
- Install maintain, diagnose and repair hydraulic system, industrial electrical equipment, pumps, and other machinery or production facility equipment.
- Perform and oversee hands-on construction & maintenance on buildings and in manufacturing areas.
- Coordinate facility relocations, new construction and renovation projects from planning through completion.
- Secure required permits and ensure all work complies with applicable codes and regulations.
- Participate in project meetings and execute assigned action items to support project timelines and objectives.
- Procure materials, supplies and contracted services in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Monitor, manage and control maintenance and project expenses to meet budgetary targets.
- Collaborate with various parties involved in projects, including management, contractors, trade labor and consultants, government agencies, inspectors, the public and other entities.
- Comply with federal, state and local regulations.
- Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
- Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- 3+ years of experience performing industrial construction activities (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, HVAC, etc.).
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, industrial electrical equipment, pumps, and other production facility equipment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding civil engineering and structural plans.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and accomplish goals by developing and communicating with staff.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Possess a valid driver’s license. Maintain a safe and insurable driving record.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds and work in confined and dusty areas.
- Strong organizational, leadership, multi-tasking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
SCHEDULE
This is a full-time, in-person, 40+ hours per week position, generally Tuesday - Saturday. This position requires availability for evening work, responsiveness to after-hours calls, and the ability to report on site in times of emergency situations.
