DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in AWS cloud services and Ubuntu/Linux administration to build, maintain, and improve our infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.)

• Administer and troubleshoot Ubuntu/Linux servers in production environments

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)

• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and outages

• Manage containerized applications using Docker and (preferably) Kubernetes

• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies

• Collaborate with developers to optimize application deployment and performance

• Apply security best practices for cloud and Linux systems (patching, hardening, IAM policies, secrets management)

• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and runbooks

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture

• Strong experience managing Ubuntu/Linux servers (CLI, networking, systemd, logs, permissions)

• Experience with shell scripting (Bash) and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)

• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation

• Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration concepts

• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation tools

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers, SSL/TLS)

• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)

• Understanding of DevOps best practices, version control (Git), and agile workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in AWS

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer)

• Experience with security/compliance standards and hardening

• Experience supporting production systems with on-call responsibilities

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and collaboration across engineering teams

• Ability to work independently and handle production incidents calmly
