Abraham Joshua Heschel School seeks a full-time early childhood & lower school (Grades preschool-5) art teacher to begin in the fall of 2026.
The art teacher will work in collaboration with other early childhood & lower school art teachers as well as other faculty members as needed.
The ideal candidate should have:
A bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred)
Experience working with a variety of materials, including paint, clay, collage, drawing, and construction
Experience / desire to work with other art teacher (s) in a shared space
Passion for teaching young children
An understanding of stages of child development to foster growth and learning
An appreciation for cultivating the artistic process

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $95,000, depending on years of experience.
