Job Description

This role is based in Menara Skymind office. 

Omdia is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled SEO Manager to join our Product and Platform team, based in our Penang office. 

As an SEO Manager, you will treat SEO as a core product feature, integrating search visibility into the development lifecycle. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, content, and marketing teams, manage an SEO roadmap with technical requirements, and drive measurable business outcomes such as traffic, conversions, and revenue. 

This role blends strategic vision with tactical execution, offering the opportunity to work with talented professionals, leverage cutting-edge SEO tools, and contribute to Omdia’s growth and success. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive Omdia's organic search performance by defining and executing SEO strategies that align with business objectives and user needs 
  • Develop and own an organic growth roadmap across SEO and AI‑driven search ecosystems
  • Keyword research to identify and discover new targeting keywords and explore content strategy 
  • Review and optimise content based on SEO best practices, aligning it with the evolving landscape of search engine algorithms
  • Functioning as an internal subject matter expert in the SEO field, guiding teams on the best approach for SEO
  • Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Marketing and agencies. 

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in SEO, content, or web performance roles. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of site speed, indexing, crawlability, and SERP trends. 
  • Proven ability to manage keyword strategy, content planning, and on-page SEO. 
  • Experience working with developers, writers, and content teams to implement SEO strategies. 
  • Proficiency with tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and SEMrush. 
  • Confidence in presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders. 
  • Experience leading audits, monitoring performance, and identifying growth opportunities. 
  • Knowledge of site migrations, website structure, and technical SEO best practices. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Basic understanding of website design, development, and HTML/CSS coding. 
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, local SEO, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles. 
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple SEO initiatives simultaneously. 
  • Knowledge of social media marketing and its impact on SEO.
