About the Role

As part of the Group Rewards function, this role will be heavily involved in designing and maintaining Performance, Compensation, and Benefits policies/ frameworks for the Great Eastern Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. You will be heavily involved in the execution of the Annual Performance Management and Compensation Review exercise as well as supporting the team in data mining and analysis. Specific job tasks may include:
    Managing the consolidation, extraction and analysis of data points for budgeting, compensation and performance review to facilitate the annual performance management as well as compensation review across the Group
    • Preparation of reports for Senior Management and Remuneration Committee as well as managing other regular compensation and performance reporting
    • Provide support in managing the annual cycle timelines and communications with stakeholders.
    • Provide performance, compensation and benefits related guidance to Rewards colleagues in other countries where Great Eastern operates
       
  2. You will be involved in making recommendations, providing data support and analytics to the Rewards Head in making informed decisions on the design of relevant policies/ frameworks relating to performance, compensation and benefits. Specific job tasks may include:
    • Reviewing compensation survey proposals which are outside the approved parameters, escalated by the Talent Acquisition team
    • Reviewing ad-hoc off-cycle salary review requests for incumbents due to re-designation, etc.
    • Reviewing and analyzing role allowance schemes for specific group of employees
    • Providing recommendations on surveys to participate in, managing contracts, budgets and agreements and completing the necessary data submission/ validations/ reports compilation and analysis
    • Reviewing and analyzing findings from compensation surveys and assisting in developing appropriate strategies to drive organizational behaviors
    • Reviewing and guiding junior team members on market or industry surveys, reviewing and performing trends and benchmarking analysis
    • Reviewing employee benefits and propose solutions to drive employee behavior and support business goals
    • Providing insights into the administration of Performance and Benefits programs through system design.
  3. You will be involved in reviewing Union Collective Agreement and Performance, Compensation and Benefits policies and guidelines and drafting recommendation papers for changes in these areas.
  4. You will be monitoring and managing administration of international assignees compensation and benefits related matters, such as overseas assignment package review and tax.
  5. You may also be involved in Rewards related and Group/Corporate wide projects on an ad-hoc basis as part of career development and exposure.


  • A good analytical and inquisitive mind, meticulous and detailed
  • 6 to 10 years’ experience in Performance, Compensation & Benefit roles, preferably with listed companies
  • Experience in reviewing and recommending Compensation & Benefits Policies
  • Excellent ability to work with large data sets on Excel and data analysis
  • Mature and able to handle/ manage highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Confidence in interacting with and managing senior stakeholders’ requests
  • Ability to work within multiple competing priorities and intense timelines
