Senior Manager, Ecosystem Development Product

Role Responsibilities
As Senior Manager (Ecosystem development, Product), you will manage and own all aspects of the program including facilitating design and build of new non-remittance based user experiences, defining business requirements, coordinating regulatory licensing and associated compliance programs, commercial relationships with suppliers, launch plans, internal management reporting, pricing and ongoing customer lifecycle management. This will be a non-technical role with end-to-end accountability for each new service / products to be offered in the market. You will also perform below responsibilities–
- Seeking and digesting customer feedback about new services to be delivered in the app, creating business cases to support those new services and then coordinating their configuration in to our Western Union App (so that they can be offered to customers)
- Define detailed business requirements for each product service – familiarity with common product and tech management tools like confluence and Jira desirable.
- Managing release plans for new product / service and proposition launches in terms of timelines, promotional pricing.
- Creating a vision for user experience including initiating and coordinating work with design teams to deliver on the local vision
- Input to supplier negotiation including complex multi-year critical supplier relationship deals and ensuring that the deals make commercial sense for both suppliers and Western Union
- Initiating streams of work with internal legal, compliance and regulatory teams to get license applications with regulatory bodies where required to offer a product.
- Initiate build work with operational teams and oversee the design of processes and systems to service the customer base on these new products.
- Develop overall customer value propositions including pricing, operational servicing settings
- Develop and finalse business requirements, direct internal resources to work on their areas accordingly and follow up on progress, keeping teams on track.
- Work closely with the entire compliance and risk management organization to ensure the products have the correct compliance and risk management settings to operate within tolerances
- Find ways to problem solve through payments, compliance, legal, operational matters which arise from time to time.
- Develop substantive reporting to management on progress during build phase. Work with marketing to design customer acquisition strategies: initiate the production of go-to-market plans by marketing stakeholders.
- Generate new product ideas that are focused on driving revenue, acquiring new customers, retaining existing customers, building brand loyalty, and providing self-service tools to customers. Including spending time in the market to meet and speak with customers.
- Assess opportunities by identifying ROI, define key performance indicators and partner with analytics team to measure success.
- Define and document product requirements, features, and functionality.
- Draft business requirements and workflows, prioritize features, author Epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with the regional team to ensure product features are delivered according to specifications.
- Provide ongoing analysis on product effectiveness using a data driven approach.
- Identifying key problems through vigorous testing of mobile and web customer platforms for us to solve to improve the customer experience and comply with local regulation.
- Continuously implement and improve analytics infrastructure to track, monitor, optimize, innovate, and report on acquisition and conversion metrics.
Role Requirements
- Must have at least 7 years’ experience working within financial product management with domestic and international payments experience highly desirable. Experience can be gained through banks / financial services orgs, specialist payment companies, or at domestic or international schemes.
- The role will require sound process improvement, optimization, operations experience, card scheme, risk and compliance management in the any of the areas of domestic payments, wallets, cards, micro-lending and / or foreign exchange.
- Experience building and launching consumer applications both on web and mobile platforms including mobile and product management will be regarded well.
- Strong business writing, numerical analysis, and communication skills especially in dealing with different stakeholders globally.
- Basic understanding of systems development, including types of integrations (e.g. APIs), workflows and good implementation and scalability practice will be regarded well.
- Experience developing basic wireframes and user journey flows will be a plus.
- Ability to work seamlessly with matrix teams, and juggle projects across multiple networks and platforms.
- Experience in fintechs or financial services – working on transactional banking, payments, or remittances is a plus.
- Experience working in a large corporate environment is a plus.
