Director, OpenShift Specialist Solution Architecture, APAC

The OpenShift team is looking for a leader to head our Specialist Solution Architecture (SSA) practice across APAC.
As a senior leader, you will mentor regional managers to translate complex technical features into clear business results. You will collaborate with Product Engineering, Sales and Marketing to build and deliver demand generation activities, and take ownership of the "technical top-of-funnel." Your goal is to identify new use cases and expansion opportunities throughout the APAC region.
Success in this role requires a blend of cloud-native expertise and sharp business sense. By championing open-source values and operational discipline, you will scale our reach through partners and ecosystems, ensuring the SSA practice drives both customer success and regional revenue.
You must be a strong communicator who enjoys working with people. You will represent the Tech Sales Leadership team daily, bridging the gap between our internal teams and external partners. We need a leader who is passionate about open source and understands the real-world IT challenges facing modern enterprises.
What you will do:
Drive pre-sales program execution for the APAC Openshift Platform team.
Build, lead and mentor a team of highly skilled and motivated solution architects
Facilitate hiring, onboarding, enablement, and capability-building programs and processes
Build solution capabilities to match customer TDPs, working closely with APAC specialist teams, partner and sales and services stakeholders
Achieve key business metrics and sales targets
Promote tight collaboration with multiple Red Hat business functions and ensure adequate technical resource coverage across APAC
Help to develop reusable methodologies, tools, and capabilities that combine Red Hat products and services into solutions to solve complex customer challenges
Collaborate with Red Hat’s partner & Ecosystem management on partner engagement strategies
Work with Red Hat’s APAC OpenShift Platform leader to help drive consistency of strategy and execution across APAC
What you will bring:
2-5 years experience leading and developing a team of technical personnel
5-7 years experience as an Individual Contributor in technical solution sales & architecture in an enterprise software and services context
Proven track record of building, leading and motivating successful pre-sales or engineering teams
Strong technical background as an IT professional and the ability to relate and earn credibility with a technical team
Experience with business development and go-to-market strategies in the enterprise software and services space
Expertise in either Application Development, Middleware, Cloud and/or infrastructure platforms
History of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organisations
A balance of strategic, tactical and technical, as well as creative thinking skills
Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills
Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent technical training
Willingness to travel
