Cashier

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Operate the register and handle fuel and in-store purchases
• Promote Gas N Wash rewards/loyalty program
• Answer customer questions and provide assistance as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and store
• Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise as needed
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report low stock
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and cash-handling guidelines
• Assist with opening and closing duties

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and money-handling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, honest, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements:

•  Ability to stand for entire shift
•  Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds 
•  Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
•  Ability to perform repeated bending, kneeling, twisting and overhead reaching 
•  Ability to work in intermittent temperature, e.g., outside by the pumps and in the cooler
