Position Summary:

As a Barista at Olly Olly Market, you will create a warm, welcoming experience for guests while contributing to a café environment that serves as a neighborhood gathering place. We are seeking an experienced, outgoing, and hospitality-driven individual who brings prior barista experience, strong guest engagement skills, and a natural sense of energy and care for the people around them.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to recipe and quality standards
• Greet and engage guests in a friendly, approachable way that creates a welcoming café experience
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment throughout service
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and café equipment safely and efficiently
• Restock milk, cups, lids, syrups, pastries, and other café supplies as needed
• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities
• Support light food handling and pastry presentation as needed
• Follow DOH guidelines and maintain cleanliness standards at all times
• Work collaboratively with the team to support smooth daily service
• Communicate clearly with managers and teammates throughout shifts
• Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment
• Support café service during market events and high-traffic periods

Requirements

About You:

• Prior experience as a barista required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Outgoing personality with strong guest interaction skills
• Genuine enthusiasm for coffee, service, and community spaces
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume setting
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
