Position Overview:
The Next Gen Youth Director (Part-Time) provides support at Change Church New Jersey campuses for middle school and high school ministries, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and spiritually formative experience for students. This role is responsible for executing the Next Gen youth strategy within the NJ campus, fostering environments where students can grow in their relationship with Christ, build authentic community, and take meaningful steps in their faith journey.
In alignment with central Next Gen leadership, this role helps implement discipleship pathways, curriculum, and ministry rhythms while developing and leading volunteer teams to effectively carry out the vision and standards of Change Church.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serve in excellence by being early and prepared for all scheduled meetings.
- Establish and foster an exemplary relationship with staff/non-staff workers, church membership, and the community at large.
- Demonstrate a servant’s heart by having a willingness to perform other duties as needs may arise.
Ministry Oversight:
- Oversee and organize the middle school and high school ministries at Change Ewing and Change Westampton.
- Support the oversight and implementation of policies and procedures for Next Gen ministries.
- Ensure a cohesive and engaging experience for all assigned Next Gen age groups
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor middle school and high school ministry teams at Change Ewing and Change Westampton, ensuring alignment with the church's vision and goals.
- Develop integrated training processes for ministry leaders and Dream Team members across both campuses.
- Recruit, develop, train, build, and lead teams to execute all aspects of Next Gen ministry for weekend services and special events at both locations.
Program Development:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculums and programs that reflect the teaching of Change Church.
- Brainstorm, study, and develop new strategies to reach and engage middle school and high school.
- Create a fun, safe, and interactive environment for spiritual growth and community building.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Function as the liaison for the Next Gen Youth department.
- Collaborate with other church departments, such as Worship, marketing, Kidz Ministry, and facilities, to enhance the overall ministry experience.
- Oversee and develop all internal and external communication representing the Next Gen department.
Event Coordination:
- In conjunction with local campus leaders and central Next Gen Leadership assists as a visionary leader of special events for middle school and high school, including retreats, camps, and community outreach programs.
- Collaborate with local campus leaders, central Next Gen Leadership, and the events team to coordinate logistics ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.
- Provide volunteer support for events, ensuring they are well-organized and effectively executed.
Safety and Security:
- Collaborate with local campus leaders, central Next Gen Leadership, and Director of Security to develop and maintain safety and security standards for Next Gen ministries.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
Growth and Metrics:
- Track growth and engagement metrics for future development, using reporting and metrics dashboards as tools.
- Provide regular reports to the Central Next Gen Leadership team on the status and progress of Next Gen ministries.
- Pastoral Care:
- Provide pastoral care and support to middle school and high schoolS, addressing their spiritual, emotional, and relational needs.
- Engage with parents and guardians, offering support and resources to help them nurture their children’s faith journey.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency Notice: At Change Church Inc, we value transparency in compensation. The target hourly rate for this position is $30.00 per hour, based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and work location.
