About the Role
<p>Veritas Press is a Christian organization dedicated to providing the best classical Christian educational materials and services anywhere, while delivering an outstanding customer experience. We are seeking dedicated, customer-focused individuals to join our seasonal team, with the possibility of a more permanent position.</p><p>We require consistent availability to work at least 20 hours per week during our regular business hours. Our business hours are currently from 8 am to 5 pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday. In June, those hours extend to 8 am to 6 pm Eastern time, Monday through Thursday. The position requires at least 4-hour blocks of time over 5 business days.</p><h2>Description:</h2><p>As a Service Representative at Veritas Press, you will play a key role in providing top-notch service to our valued customers. You will be the frontline representative, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. If you are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team!</p><h2>Responsibilities:</h2><ol><li>Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.</li><li>Provide accurate and helpful information regarding products, services, and policies.</li><li>Handle and resolve customer issues, complaints, or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.</li><li>Process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and on time.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments to address customer inquiries and provide comprehensive solutions.</li><li>Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.</li><li>Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture focused on customer satisfaction.</li></ol><h2>Qualifications:</h2><ol><li>Previous experience in customer service is a plus.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.</li><li>Customer-focused with a positive and empathetic attitude.</li><li>Ability to adapt to changing processes and work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Proficient in basic computer applications and comfortable using customer service software.</li></ol><h2>Physical Demands:</h2><ol><li>Standing or sitting for long periods.</li><li>Extensive typing on a QWERTY-style keyboard.</li><li>Extensive viewing of lighted computer monitors.</li><li>Speaking and hearing.</li></ol><h2>Education:</h2><ol><li>Some college education is preferred.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li></ol><h2>Instructions:</h2><ul><li>Be sure to answer all questions marked with an * on the application; they are required.</li><li>If you're not sure of any of the other answers, leave them blank.</li><li>Please upload your resume in PDF format.</li><li>In the Cover Letter section, please write us a brief note to tell us why you're applying.
