Salary: UoM 6 - $100,847 - $109,163 p.a. plus 17% super

Your next career opportunity  
In this role, you will coordinate New Colombo Plan semester grants across the VicX university consortium. You will design engaging events and programmes that connect students, build confidence, and strengthen Asia-Pacific engagement. You will help broaden access to global learning, especially for equity cohorts and under-represented student groups. 

What you will deliver:  

  • Coordinate consortium-wide promotion of New Colombo Plan grants through events, campaigns and targeted materials for priority cohorts. 

  • Develop and deliver pre-departure and return workshops that foster peer connections, reflection and global competence development. 

  • Collaborate with equity and Indigenous units to identify participation barriers and promote New Colombo Plan benefits to students. 

  • Analyse Asia-Pacific partnerships, student feedback and alumni insights to inform targeted promotion and continuous programme improvement. 

  • Support risk management and emergency responses across the consortium, liaising with International Liaison Officers and external partners. 

You may be a great fit if you:  

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and bring substantial experience in student services or related professional roles. 

  • Offer experience delivering global learning or mobility programmes, ideally within a higher education environment. 

  • Demonstrate strong cross-cultural communication skills, with confidence engaging students and staff from diverse backgrounds. 

  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships and design innovative, tailored activities that respond to student and partner needs. 

  • Thrive in fast-paced service environments, juggling competing priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality outcomes. 

  • Bring knowledge of New Colombo Plan programmes or student engagement initiatives that complement learning abroad experiences.

Your new team – Student and Scholarly Services  
Student and Scholarly Services supports students from first enquiry to graduation, delivering integrated administration, wellbeing and learning services. Within this division, Global Learning coordinates mobility programmes and drives the Advancing Melbourne Globally strategy. You will work closely with colleagues across the VicX consortium of Victorian universities and federal partners. Together, you will expand Asia-Pacific opportunities, foster inclusive participation and help students build meaningful global competencies.
