Description
SKUx is a leading fintech innovator who has transformed a traditional consumer practice into a high-tech experience that offers ease, accuracy, and convenience to all participants. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a hands-on, adaptable Project Manager to join us on a 6-month contract to help streamline and manage projects across the organization. This is a high-impact role that will work closely with all teams, reporting into the COO.
What You’ll Do
The Project Manager will join us on a 6-month contract basis (with potential to extend) to help streamline and manage projects across the organization. This high-impact role that sits at the heart of the business, working closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure their most critical initiatives are delivered on time and within scope. The ideal candidate lives within the Tampa Bay area and is able to work in a hybrid environment.
If you thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and know how to bring structure without slowing teams down, we want to hear from you!
The Day-to-Day:
- Own end-to-end project management across multiple concurrent workstreams spanning product, engineering, operations, and compliance.
- Define and implement a consistent project management framework (Agile, hybrid, or bespoke) suited to the organization’s stage and culture.
- Build, maintain and present detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports for senior leadership.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, and drive resolution before they impact delivery.
- Produce clear, concise project updates and executive summaries for the leadership team and board.
- Manage expectations across internal stakeholders, escalating issues with recommended solutions rather than just problems.
- Create and maintain a centralized project portfolio view so leadership has real-time visibility into progress.
- Introduce or optimize tooling (e.g. Jira, Notion, Linear, Asana) to improve visibility and accountability.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive project or program management experience, ideally within fintech, payments, financial services, or a high growth tech company
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Solid command of both Agile and traditional project management methodologies — and the judgement to know when to apply which
- Experience working closely with software engineering and product teams
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and a bias for action
- Outstanding written and verbal communication; able to translate technical complexity into clear stakeholder updates
- Confident facilitator who can run effective meetings and drive decisions without direct authority
- Comfortable with ambiguity, able to define structure where none exists and adapt quickly when priorities shift
- Analytically minded; able to spot patterns, dependencies, and risks in project data
- Collaborative by nature, but assertive when it comes to holding people accountable to commitments
