Scope and Responsibilities
The Human Resources Director will play a key part in shaping and implementing human resources strategies to build an organizational culture that drives alignment to business objectives and company goals. This role will serve as a key business partner in leading and creating initiatives, systems, and best practices to build a high-performing workforce to support the company’s missions and goals.

Specific Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support the organization’s goals, workforce needs, and future growth
- Analyze current and future workforce needs, create hiring plans, and develop talent strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, hiring, and new employee onboarding
- Establish and manage relationships with staffing vendors and independent contractor resources to quickly pivot staffing plans to support business needs
- Develop and implement effective onboarding programs
- Manage payroll processing and any HR-related financial tasks to ensure accurate and timely compensation and benefits delivery
- Oversee benefits administration including but not limited to: annual benefits renewal, negotiations, plan enhancements, vendor selection and employee education
- Ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures comply with all applicable federal, state and local employment laws
- Develop and administer performance management systems, including annual reviews, feedback processes, and improvement plans
- Design and implement training programs with a focus on skill development, leadership growth and career advancement
- Monitor and analyze compensation trends to ensure the organization’s offerings remain competitive and equitable
- Address employee relations concerns, mediate disputes, and provide guidance to managers and employees on HR-related issues ensuring fair and consistent resolution
- Manage HRIS to streamline HR processes, improve data accuracy, and facilitate reporting
- Oversee relationships with external vendors and consultants, including those involved in benefits administration, recruitment, and training
- Promote effective communication and collaboration among team members
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture, including strategic engagement with third party engagement firms (Comparably, GlassDoor) to help measure and market company culture
- Conduct surveys and assessments to measure and improve employee satisfaction
- Utilize HR analytics to make data-driven decisions and measure the effectiveness of HR programs
- Identify areas for improvement with HR processes and implement changes as necessary
Key Selection Criteria
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Ten years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions, including experience across multiple Human Resources functional areas a plus
- Experience in Professional Services; IT services preferred
- Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred
- Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
- High degree of self-confidence, executive presence, poise, maturity, discretion, judgment, and empathy
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of key Human Resources functional areas including recruiting, talent management, development, compensation design, benefits, and operational processes (e.g. benefits administration, payroll)
- High level knowledge of employment law, experience in dealing with a remote workforce a plus
- Ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get into the details when necessary
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work as part of a team yet work independently on complex problems
