About the Role

Description

The Position:

As an Event Cook, at Fireside Catering, you will assist in the preparation, cooking and plating of delicious meals for a wide variety of events with unique menus, at venues throughout Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a creative mindset, and excellent attention to detail. Full-time and part-time hours available in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with other staff members to ensure that all elements of the event, including setup, serving, and cleanup, are executed flawlessly
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of all food items
  • Ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly



Requirements:

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Desire to cultivate your culinary skills; learn proper knife skills, baking, etc.
  • Take pride in your job – We use ingredients from our own farm, The Farm at Gibbet Hill and many local vendors.
