Yamashita Rubber specializes in the production of control tubes, fuel lines, engine mountings, bushings, hoses and other vibration dampening devices for the automotive industry. Established in 1953 Yamashita now, operates manufacturing facilities in Kamisato & Ano Japan as well as Ytec, located in Srimahaphoe , Thailand , which commenced production in 1997, and Santa Oliva, Spain started production in 2000. Yamashita's newest venture is located in Zhongshan City, Guangdong, China and started production in 2002. In 1997, the Yamashita Rubber Company acquired full interest of YUSA Corporation, by purchasing the outstanding shares held by its venture partner, Lord Corporation, bringing a close to a long and beneficial relationship. YUSA Corporation, following in the footsteps of the Yamashita Rubber Company, has become an industry leader in the manufacture of automotive rubber components, specializing in engine mountings (conventional and hydro), bushings, tubes and hoses.
About the Role

Description

-Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers

-Responsible for directing production activity, active 5S leadership, and PDCA leadership

-Capable in assisting production activity, projects, and scheduling, and able to assist the supervisor in the department's daily activities efficiently while promoting a positive atmosphere

-Able to monitor the line and make minor adjustments for continued uptime. Can demonstrate an excellent flexibility of job duties while maintaining quality and efficiency.

-Is detail oriented, possessing the ability to multi-task, being able to communicate effectively, show reliability and formulate solutions with a problem-solving mindset.

-Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.

-Can ensure safety policy and procedures

-Ability to confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments

-Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports in order to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.

-Recommend or implement measures to motivate associates to improve performance, product, quality, or efficiency.

-Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications using standard formulas

-Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines

-Ensuring that the flow of resources like raw materials are maintained and that production items are delivered as needed and used properly and efficiently.

-Able to provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees.

Requirements

-Associates degree or 5 years minimum experience in a supervisory role/production environment.

-Competent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

-The desire for advancement.

-Extensive experience in 5S leadership and demonstrated 5S discipline.

-No active disciplinary actions on file

-Positive associate image.

-Strong communication and presentation skills.

-A demonstrated desire and ability to learn.

-Ability and willingness to work as a leader and a team member.

-Ability to assist others.

-Strong communication skills.

-Production at or above standards.
