Position Summary
The Varietal Manager is responsible for executing the strategic development of citrus product plans across global supply and sales channels. This role supports the Director of Product Management by coordinating harvest, packing, and commercialization activities to ensure alignment with international market demands and business objectives. Working cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and commercial teams, the Varietal Manager plays a key role in implementing varietal strategies and driving performance across regions. This position plays a key role in supporting organizational goals and modeling our core values: Excellence, Accountability, Transparency, and Stewardship (EATS).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Execute citrus varietal strategies across global supply and sales channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and international market needs
· Coordinate with Field Operations, Packing, Sales, and Marketing teams to implement field-to-market plans and support commercialization efforts across global regions
· Track operational and sales execution, evaluating economic impact on growers and overall business profitability
· Collaborate with field teams to support harvest planning and crop management aligned with supply forecasts and market timing
· Deliver available-to-sell forecasts to Sales & Marketing to support program selling and advance planning
· Analyze competitive intelligence to inform pricing strategies and adjust sales approaches in international markets
· Generate monthly and quarterly profitability forecasts and performance analyses for senior leadership
· Support industry reporting and internal communications, ensuring accuracy and consistency
· Contribute to cross-functional planning sessions, aligning product timelines, priorities, and performance metrics
· Mentor and support analyst team members, guiding data interpretation, reporting practices, and strategic thinking
· Perform additional duties as needed to support the Director of Product Management and portfolio execution
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
• Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
• Ensures timecards are reviewed and approved properly.
• Partners with safety to promote a positive safety culture.
