About the Role
Description
We’re raising the standard for what a medium-duty truck should be — delivering vehicles, infrastructure, and support designed to work for you.
- The manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for process and tooling design. The position will provide direction to plant floor employees and other colleagues.
- The engineer will need to be self-motivated and a team player.
- Problem solving skills will be required to solve process, equipment, and product related issues.
- Data driven mentality and decision-making process.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt a dynamic work environment.
What You Will Do
- Create Standard Work instructions (SWI’s) for new products
- Support Automotive production by leading a cross functional team to meet production deadlines and improve processes.
- Specify and order tooling required to meet product design requirements.
- Provide feedback to design on process limitations.
- Lead cost reduction through process improvement, quality improvement, and scrap reduction.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience
- Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in QAD and Catia preferred.
