About the Role

Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Prep: Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and summarizing their medical history for the doctor.
  • Spanish Fluency: Communicate clearly in Spanish to gather medical histories and explain physician instructions to families.
  • Clinical Support: Set up clean, organized treatment rooms and assist the medical team as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle phone calls, manage patient forms, and assist with scheduling, records, and billing.
  • Office Operations: Track medical supplies and perform basic maintenance on equipment to keep the office running smoothly.
  • Compliance: Follow all healthcare laws and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Compassionate Care: Provide kind and helpful support to all patients and families throughout their visit.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Bilingual: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terms, clinical procedures, and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
  • Communication: Strong speaking skills and the ability to build a good rapport with families.
  • Organization: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Professionalism: Proven ability to handle private medical information with total discretion.
  • Reliability: A dedicated team player who consistently meets goals and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Language: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
