About the Role

Description: 

· Take product from the bagging table, or from tubs containing retail or hot smoke packs, and place on the vacuum packer.

· Ensure packs are straight and in the correct place for sealing.

· Take the vacuum-packed product from the other side of the machine and place it on tubs.

· Check all packs for proper seal.

·  Vacuum sealing and labeling food products according to specifications.

· Reporting equipment issues or product defects to supervisor. 

· Maintain clean work environment. 

· Follow all company safety procedures and requirements.

· Comply with all facility GMP rules and policies and all processes and requirements of the Food Safety and Quality Management System as applicable. 

· Complete other tasks at request of High Care Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Cold environment and repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs, push up to 60lbs
  • Ability to understand, and follow instructions (verbal and written) 
  •  Willingness to wear required PPE and follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) 
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed
  • Bi-lingual a plus!
  •  Legally authorized to work in the United States
