About this Location:

This position is located at the Embassy Suites in Lompoc, CA. Ideally situated within walking distance of Lompoc restaurants, Embassy Suites by Hilton Lompoc Central Coast offers guests a relaxing stay in a variety of comfortable room styles. The charming hotel is within three miles of Sta. Rita Hills Wine Center and the Wine Ghetto, and just a short drive to the Lompoc Flower Fields and Vandenberg Space Force Base. 


Why do we need you?

To tend laundering machines to clean articles such as wearing apparel, sheets, blankets, and other linens used by the hotel and guests.


What you will do:

  1. Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines.
  2. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications. 
  3. Turns valve to fill washer with water.
  4. Starts machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
  5. Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
  6. Sorts dried articles according to identification number or type.
  7. Folds and places items in appropriate storage bin.
  8. Lubricates machine, using grease gun and oilcan.
  9. May dissolve soap granules in hot water and steam to make liquid soap.
  10. May mend torn articles using needle and thread.
  11. May sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists.
  12. May soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solutions in vat to precondition washing.
  13. May mix dyes and bleaches according to formula, and dye and bleach specified articles.
  14. Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner. 
  15. Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing a name identification badge.
  16. Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
  17. All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Schedule & Hours:

This position is part-time. The role typically follows an AM schedule. Ability to work any scheduled day of the week and time of day, including holidays, based on business needs is required.
