About the Role
Description
The Position:
As a Laundry Attendant, at Fireside Catering, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry items are cleaned, ironed, and folded according to the highest standards, while also maintaining a clean and organized laundry area.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting, sorting, and washing laundry items according to established procedures
- Operating laundry machines and dryers to clean and dry laundry items
- Folding and ironing laundry items as needed
- Checking laundry for stains, damage, and quality issues
- Maintaining an organized and clean laundry area
- Handling laundry chemicals and ensuring they are stored safely and used properly
- Keeping an inventory of laundry supplies and notifying management when supplies are running low
- Reporting any issues with laundry equipment to management
- Assisting with other tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in laundry services preferred
- Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail and ability to identify stains and quality issues
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
