About the Role
At Genisys Credit Union, we value our employees who are essential to our ongoing growth and success as a financial institution of choice. We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Full Time Contact Center Representative - Lending position at our Corporate Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI.
Position Purpose:
Interact with members and process member requests and transactions. Process loan requests for members and work with centralized underwriting for a decision. Research and resolve member problems. Offer Credit Union products or services whenever appropriate.
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
- Interact with members via phone, e-mail and other media as appropriate.
- Answer member questions concerning their accounts and Credit Union services.
- Open new accounts, when appropriate.
- Perform file maintenance on members’ accounts as necessary.
- Sell products and services where appropriate.
- Accept and process loan applications.
- Submit loan requests to Centralized Underwriting for decisioning.
- Gather information related to credit and debit card disputes.
- Process specialty lending, such as home equities and credit cards.
- Promote the sale of Credit Union sponsored insurance products.
- Provide members with information necessary to make informed decisions regarding their financial transactions.
- Process termination statements and lien releases.
- Process and verify EFT authorizations and insurance documents.
- Complete various other tasks such as faxing of documents, writing letters and delivery of paperwork to various departments within the Credit Union.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent; Associates's Degree preferred
- 2 years financial institution experience, preferred.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong typing abilities.
- Good verbal public relations skills.
- Communicate verbally and in writing.
- Able to operate calculator, word processor, and related computer
applications. - Well organized.
- Strong commitment to cross selling and over coming objections when
cross selling applicable products and services. - Maintain confidentiality of member data.
