About the Role

Description

Go Ape is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to support it's management team. In this role, the assistant manager is responsible for supporting the location's manager in the overall operations of the course and does so by maintaining guest WOW, staff support, and uphold course safety requirements.



Assistant Manager Job Duties

  1. Ensure each guest receives outstanding customer service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and checking in guests, maintaining outstanding standards, solid knowledge of Go Ape course, and all other components of guest WOW.
  2. Ensure all staff understand and adhere to all risk assessment and method statement processes.
  3. Help monitor sessions and staff site accordingly to meet guest demands and maintain health and safety standards.
  4. Support recruitment, training, development, and communication with all site staff.
  5. Support location manager in overseeing functionality of course by performing tree inspections, safety inspections, and maintain appropriate course documentation.
  6. Support financial management tasks and sales of merchandise.
  7. Maintain site cleanliness and organization, including cabin and course.
  8. Support marketing and sales initiatives by promoting brand awareness, attend off-site events, and local market research.
  9. Assist with inventory management of operating equipment and merchandise.
  10. Partner with site manager to develop on-call schedule as to support necessary communications from head office when site is not operating.
  11. Maintain a positive relationship with park partners.
  12. Be a brand ambassador for Go Ape and perform all job duties in accordance with the mission and values of the organization.
  13. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Requirements


Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  3. Prior experience in a supervisory support or leadership role.


Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Prior experience in high ropes or zip line operations is a plus.



Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. At least 18 years or older.
  2. Must be able to meet guest participation requirements.
  3. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
  4. Ability to successfully complete rescue training.



Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00/hr

Status: Hourly

Type: Part-Time, Variable Hour, Full-Time

Schedule: Varies with operating season, Weekend availability required
