Position Overview

Paragon Micro is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Summer Intern to support our Federal Programs team, specifically aligned to the ITES-4H contract. This role offers hands-on exposure to federal IT contracting, including opportunity tracking, quote development, and contract catalog management.

This internship is ideal for individuals interested in government contracting, IT sales, or business operations who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will play a meaningful role in supporting Request for Quote (RFQ) activity while learning the fundamentals of federal procurement and IT solution delivery.


What You’ll Do

RFQ Intake & Opportunity Tracking

  • Monitor the Army CHESS RFQ portal to identify new opportunities 
  • Download, review, and log RFQs (= $25K) into internal tracking systems 
  • Ensure timely visibility of opportunities across the Federal Programs team 

Quote Preparation Support

  • Coordinate pricing requests with approved vendors and distributors 
  • Populate standardized quote templates with accurate pricing and product details 
  • Assist in categorizing products in alignment with contract requirements 
  • Prepare draft quote packages for internal review and submission 

Contract Catalog Support

  • Review products against the ITES-4H contract catalog for alignment and eligibility 
  • Assist in validating MSRP updates and identifying discrepancies 
  • Support maintenance of catalog tracking tools and submission documentation 

Administrative & Compliance Support

  • Maintain organized and accurate records of RFQs, quotes, and supporting materials 
  • Ensure all documentation meets formatting, compliance, and audit standards 
  • Provide general support across contract and program documentation needs

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment 
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive mindset 
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented setting 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in federal contracting, IT sales, or business operations 
  • Exposure to quoting, procurement, or data analysis is a plus 

Additional Information

  • This role operates under the guidance of the ITES Program Manager and Federal Sales Team 
  • Final quote submissions are managed by senior team members to ensure compliance and accuracy 
  • High-performing interns may be considered for future opportunities within Federal Sales, Operations, or Program Management
