Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Project Manager - Enterprise.

Description:


This Project Manager - Enterprise position is responsible for managing enterprise projects. This includes tracking projects to be on-time, within scope, and within budget. Position has responsibility for developing and managing project plans, communication plans, project resources, and other project documentation for variety of enterprise projects. Position requires familiarity with PMI principles, Scrum, and Kanban.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Manage project initiation activities that include identifying contractual obligations, client needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts, and access to existing information as needed.
  • Ensure requirements for projects align to Sunflower Bank standards. Develop alternate requirements or document exceptions as appropriate.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, and deliverables, across multiple enterprise projects.
  • Identify the best methodology and documentation requirements based on project classification and Sunflower Bank PMO processes.
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
  • Identify and remove impediments and prevent distractions.
  • Coordinate activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments, or vendor/subcontractor as needed to meet project goals.
  • Assign and monitor work of project team.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and action items to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Assist with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal and external technical and non-technical teams.
  • Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups.
  • Conduct project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance and complete a post implementation review.
  • Identify project management process gaps or areas for improvements and assist in recommending and implementing solutions.
  • Provide business analysis and quality assurance support as needed to ensure requirements are clear and deliverables meet acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure projects comply with SBNA security controls and standards for protecting sensitive data, including requirements related to the Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA).
  • Ensure project teams follow applicable Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) policies, standards, and processes.


Education / Experience Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of SDLC and agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with PMI framework concepts.
  • Proficiency with common project tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Visio, PowerPoint, Jira, Smartsheet).
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Business & IT strategy experience.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • One of the following certifications is preferred:
  • o PMP: Project Management Professional
  • o CAPM: Certified Associate in Project Management
  • o CSM: Certified ScrumMaster
  • o PMI-ACP: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.


Working Conditions


The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work-related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
