About the Role

Description

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a key operational role at DCOMM by overseeing the organization, safety, and efficiency of warehouse activities supporting Field Services, Construction Services, and Technical Services divisions. This position ensures all materials, tools, and equipment are properly received, stored, tracked, and distributed to support daily operations.


The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in inventory management, procurement, and logistics coordination, ideally within telecommunications, construction, or related industries. This role demands a proactive, organized, and safety-conscious individual capable of maintaining accurate inventory controls while ensuring timely support to field operations.


By maintaining high standards for organization, accountability, and communication, the Warehouse Supervisor directly supports DCOMM’s commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

What You'll Do


Warehouse and Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies to support operational needs.
  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Perform inventory controls and audits to maintain high accuracy standards and accountability.
  • Establish and maintain minimum/maximum material levels to prevent shortages and operational delays.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles, inspect incoming materials for damage, and process returns or replacements as needed.

Procurement and Vendor Coordination:

  • Research and identify prospective suppliers, comparing costs, quality, and delivery capabilities.
  • Prepare and place orders for both standard and nonstandard materials and equipment within budgetary authority.
  • Track orders to ensure timely delivery and proper documentation.
  • Monitor vendor performance and coordinate corrective action for quality or delivery issues.

Material Distribution and Support:

  • Receive daily pick lists from engineering teams and prepare stock for construction and field technicians.
  • Verify materials used on job orders and reconcile against contractor invoices for billing accuracy.
  • Manage the return of unused materials to inventory and ensure proper documentation of transfers.
  • Collaborate with construction supervisors to ensure material accuracy, accountability, and usage efficiency.

Operational Oversight and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, requisitions, and purchase orders.
  • Assist in preparing reports, forecasts, and annual budgets related to warehouse operations and materials management.
  • Continuously assess and improve warehouse processes for efficiency and compliance.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. A CDL is preferred but not required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or materials management, preferably in telecommunications, construction, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor relations, procurement, and supply chain coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in forklift operation and warehouse logistics.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Competence in operating computers and business machines, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles, procurement, and sourcing.
  • Proven ability to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS


Work Environment:
The Warehouse Associate position is based on-site at a DCOMM operations location. Work is performed in a warehouse and logistics setting with routine exposure to physical activity and environmental conditions such as temperature variation, noise, and equipment operation.


Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity including standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, and operating warehouse equipment. Candidates must be physically able to perform manual tasks safely and efficiently.


Adaptability:
This role requires flexibility to support changing operational priorities, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


LOCATION AND TRAVEL

Primary Location: Medina, OH
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel may be required for training or operational support.
Lodging and Per Diem: Lodging and meal per diem will be provided for any approved travel.
