About the Role
Description
Vision Quest Solutions is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide critical care services at an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility in Chinle, Arizona. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver impactful care in a high-need community while working flexible, contract-based assignments. Immediate openings available with rapid placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care in an inpatient and/or emergency department setting
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across all age groups
- Respond to urgent and critical care situations
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Collaborate with clinical staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with all federal, facility, and clinical standards
Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Physician License (any U.S. state or eligible for IHS credentialing)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (or related field if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS (and PALS if applicable)
- Ability to pass federal background check and credentialing process
- Eligible for privileging at an IHS facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior IHS, Tribal, or government healthcare experience
- Experience in rural or underserved settings
- Travel or locum tenens experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rates (regular + overtime)

Work Details
- Location: Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility – Chinle, Arizona
- Schedule: Approx. 520 hours per 3-month assignment
- Contract Length:
- Base: May 1, 2026 – July 31, 2026
- Options through April 30, 2027
- Employment Type: Contract / Locum
Compliance
Candidates must meet all credentialing and privileging requirements and pass required background checks in accordance with federal regulations and facility standards.
