Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $154,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RTL Networks considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Summary: The Configuration Manager leads efforts in configuration management (CM) for program, project, and system levels, ensuring all technical data, changes, and supporting documentation are accurately tracked, controlled, and maintained in accordance with Navy/DoD processes. This individual manages CM tools, repositories, and workflow processes to support engineering, test, and field support.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities: Essential skills, knowledge and responsibilities of the Systems Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Generate, implement, and maintain formal Configuration Management Plans and associated documentation.
- Operate, maintain, and improve program/project-level CM technical data repositories, including web-based CM server repositories.
- Track and process engineering change proposals (ECPs), problem reports (PRs), waivers, deviations, specification change notices, and revision notices.
- Organize and maintain project and IPT-level documentation repositories for easy access and retrieval, including digitization and archiving.
- Participate in and document the CM process, ensuring version control and process improvements per program CM plans.
- Support configuration control boards, change review boards, and peer review processes; deliver controlled and versioned documentation.
- Provide CM services for Assessment & Authorization (A&A) documentation and maintain technical network architecture records and updates in the IPA database.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with CM tools and best practices, including version control, documentation, and change management in a DoD/Navy environment.
- Skilled in the lifecycle configuration of both hardware and software systems and digital repository management.
- Strong documentation, process improvement, and data integrity capabilities.
- Must meet DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) criteria or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification at time of hire (i.e., Security+ or higher,)
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.
