McDivitt Law Firm is seeking a Balance Coordinator to join our office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. Our firm focuses on Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation, and we are looking for a dependable professional who can help keep cases moving efficiently while supporting both clients and attorneys.
This is a full-time, fully in-office position, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
Duties:
- Confirming balances for cases in negotiations.
- Review medical bill for accuracy and cross reference damages.
- Work alongside Case Managers to confirm information given by the client (HICO, Med pay benefits)
- Comply with provider requests such as their own HIPAAs being fulfilled.
- Resolving coordination of benefits issues.
- Calling health insurance with client to resolve billing issues.
- Calling Medicaid with clients when providers fail to bill Medicaid.
- Ensuring that bills do not go to collections when insurance is active.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Back-up coverage to front desk.
Qualifications
- Personal injury and/or law firm experience preferred, but not required
- Prior experience in a legal assistant, case assistant, claims, customer service, or office support role preferred
- At least 1 year of office-based customer service experience required
- Strong administrative, organizational, and follow-up skills required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Accurate typing speed of 65 WPM required; typing assessment will be administered
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $21.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
