About the Role

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee and optimize our organization's revenue cycle processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, improve financial performance, and ensure efficient billing and collections. Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the entire revenue cycle process, including patient billing, coding, collections, and accounts receivable management

- Develop and implement procedures to improve revenue cycle efficiency and accuracy

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle performance and identify areas for improvement

- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and financial teams to ensure compliance with regulations and billing standards

- Manage billing, coding, and collections staff, providing training and support to enhance productivity and accuracy

- Resolve complex billing and reimbursement issues, working with payers and patients as needed

- Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims and follow-up on unpaid or denied claims

- Stay current with industry regulations, payer policies, and best practices in revenue cycle management


 

This position is full-time weekdays. No weekends. No holidays.

Our staff of more than 300 includes specialized physicians as well as advanced practice and mid-level providers and support staff across dozens of healthcare specialties. We are headquartered in Waterloo, and all of our physicians, clinics, and labs are located in and around the Cedar Valley so that we may better serve our entire community.

Requirements

  •  5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), payer rules, and compliance requirements (HIPAA, CMS).
  • Billing-relevant certification preferred (CPC, CPAR, etc.)
  • Proven track record of improving revenue cycle KPIs and reducing denials.
  • Experience with EHR and RCM systems
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A patient-first mindset with the ability to balance financial goals and compassionate service.
