About the Role

Description

Position is Full-Time, Weekends are required. A clean background check, drug screen and driving record required for hire.


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Repair Shop Foreman to lead day-to-day repair shop operations while actively supporting hands-on repair work. This position is responsible for supervising shop personnel, monitoring productivity and workflow, and helping ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The Repair Shop Foreman also performs diagnostics, refurbishment, and repairs on valves, pumps, and small engines, providing accurate assessments and dependable repair solutions for both customer and in-house equipment. 

  

Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Oversee the daily operations of the repair shop, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality workmanship, and timely completion of repairs on valves, pumps, and small engines, including but not limited to chainsaws, string trimmers, and comparable equipment.
  • Supervise, train, and support repair shop personnel, promoting a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Review shop processes, staffing levels, and workload distribution to optimize workflow, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor shop key performance indicators, labor utilization, and technician productivity to drive accountability, timely turnaround, and consistent service quality.
  • Support overall customer satisfaction and service excellence by ensuring customers receive timely communication, accurate information, quality repair guidance, and professional resolution of service-related concerns.
  • Perform and oversee advanced diagnostic assessments, refurbishment, and repairs on valves, pumps, and small engines, including but not limited to chainsaws, string trimmers, and comparable equipment.
  • Monitor and enforce quality control standards to ensure repairs are completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with company expectations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of serviced equipment, pursuing additional certifications and training as required.
  • Accurately document work performed, ensuring legible and complete records for both customer reference and internal use.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to support equipment longevity and operational safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across departments to enhance customer service, coordinate repair activity, and support efficient operations.
  • Provide cross-functional support by assisting in other departments as needed, including sales and warehouse operations, to support overall team efficiency and business needs.

Requirements

  Experience, Education and Certifications Preferred: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in repair, small engines, mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, with strong experience in diagnosing and repairing small engines, pumps, valves, or similar equipment
  • Previous supervisory, lead technician, or shop management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in the safe and effective use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Relevant manufacturer certifications or willingness to obtain additional certifications and training as required
  • STIHL Silver certification will be required within 6 months of hire
