Job Description

We are looking for a skilled General Manager to manage ibis styles Gdansk AmberExpo - a new built modern franchise property with a themed design inspired by The Adventures of Captain Nemo. It offers 168 comfortable rooms and convenient access to the city center and the beach. The ibis Styles Gdansk AmberExpo forms an integral part of the AmberExpo exhibition center. It is an ideal choice for both business and leisure stays.
As General Manager, you will act as a brand ambassador, placing stakeholder engagement at the core of your leadership. You will be responsible for leading the pre-opening phase of the hotel, including developing the organizational structure, recruiting and onboarding the full team, and defining the operational strategy to ensure a successful launch and long-term performance. Your mission will require building strong relationships with owners, partners, guests, and the local community. Overseeing all daily operations, you will drive profitability, guest satisfaction, and market competitiveness. Through strong commercial acumen and hands-on leadership, you will inspire your team and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

  • Skilled hotelier with former General Manager experience

  • Strategical mindset with solid topline knowledge
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls in previous roles
  • Service and quality minded
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to create positive, effective and sustainable working relationships at all levels
  • Passionate to grow and develop self and others
  • Proven track record of exceptional sales, pricing and revenue management competencies
  • A forward thinker who is also hands-on and operationally strong, able to solve problems, and lead by example.
  • Fluent in Polish and English
