About The Company
We start early each morning at Country Cookie preparing fresh from scratch batches of cookie dough. Everyday we make nearly 1500 cookies that are then sold in our store or through wholesale. Everyday is a new adventure for us as we offer many varieties of cookies, bars and breads to you our customers. We don’t let up either. No matter what time of day you come into our retail store you will be greeted with a smile, a great looking display, the delightful smell of fresh baking cookies. Some of you are even lucky enough to experience the cookie fresh out of the oven. Country Cookie has been independently owned and operated in St. Joseph Mo for 29 years by the founders daughter Amy Balley. In 2014 Amy sold the business to Lowell Hartell. Since then Country Cookie Brand, Retail and Wholesale have grown leaps and bounds. The same recipes that Barb (original founder) used are still being used today. Country Cookie is one of the few independent bakeries that still continues to grow their business by providing personal on demand service. Every cookie is unique and hand scooped. You will experience consistent flavor and quality in every Country Cookie. “We can make just about anything a client is looking for, from specific cut-out cookies to our very popular KC Royals Cookies and we make a variety of cookie cakes. “We are just looking for ways to support our community, bring in new business and stay true to our roots of made fresh & from scratch. About the Role

Description

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering finished goods to our customers. As a Delivery Driver your job is crucial to the success of our business because you are the face of our organization. To accomplish these tasks, the Delivery Driver works closely with the Operations Manager, Country Cookie Supervisor, Staff, and Customers.

DAILY DUTIES:

  1. Ensures that all activities conform to Country Cookie policies and procedures.
  2. Communicate effectively and appropriately with all staff members.
  3. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned and remains flexible in daily routine.
  4. Support the mission statement of Country Cookie.
  5. Give fast, friendly customer service.
  6. Keep the delivery vehicle clean. 
  7. Attend team meetings.
  8. Finalize vehicle weekly inspection paperwork.
  9. Adhere to and perform duties as defined in the Delivery Driver Job description if applicable.
  10. Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Country Cookie Supervisor.

Work Activities

  • Picking up orders for delivery from Country Cookie and organizing it for delivery
  • Delivering Goods in allowed time
  • Inspecting Country Cookie Displays in the stores and reporting anything out of place or that looks fantastic to Operations Manager (missing tags, food quality, dirty displays, etc.)
  • Keeping a Clean Delivery Vehicle. Inside is free of debris, outside is clean, general maintenance is kept up.

General Activities

  • Properly filling out the Daily Records
  • Working your scheduled hours

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

  1. Requires prolonged standing and sitting.
  2. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift over 50 lbs., carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  3. Occasional stooping, bending, reaching and climbing ladders or step stools.
  4. Requires some travel.


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

  1. Obtain Class E Driver's License endorsement
  2. Requires prolonged standing and sitting.
  3. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift over 50 lbs., carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  4. Occasional stooping, bending, reaching and climbing ladders or step stools.
  5. Requires some travel.
