The Role
Do you want to help customers accelerate their network transformation and lead them toward modern cloud‑enabled, secure, and automated network architectures? As a Senior Network Architect within Kyndryl’s Network & Edge practice, you will play a strategic, customer‑facing role that blends technical leadership, presales consulting, and architectural design across enterprise, cloud, and edge environments.
In this role, you will engage directly with customers—working with IT executives, architects, and engineering teams—to understand their business objectives, assess their current environments, and define future‑state architectures. You will shape and deliver network transformation strategies, create high‑level and low‑level designs, and provide expert technical guidance across hybrid networks, cloud connectivity, and secure access frameworks.
Industry roles highlight the importance of architects defining strategic network roadmaps and partnering closely with stakeholders to shape target architectures.
Your expertise in routing, switching, SD‑WAN, and advanced network security will be essential, but you will also bring deep experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)—now key pillars in enterprise network modernization. Industry positions indicate that SASE and multi‑cloud connectivity design are core responsibilities for senior network security and architecture roles.
You will guide customers through modern cloud networking patterns, including virtual WAN, ExpressRoute and Direct Connect architectures, cloud firewalls, cloud load balancers, and multi‑cloud integrations—capabilities commonly required in senior cloud network architect roles.
Beyond architecture, you will support presales engagements, helping shape solution proposals, contribute to RFP responses, lead customer design workshops, and build proof‑of‑concepts demonstrating the value of Network & Edge solutions. You will act as the technical voice of the practice, collaborating with account teams to position Kyndryl’s portfolio, services, and accelerators.
You will also lead the design and implementation of network solutions—including advanced data center networking, cloud edge connectivity, Zero‑Trust segmentation models, SD‑WAN architectures, LAN/WAN modernization, and SASE deployments. You will ensure solutions are scalable, secure, aligned with compliance frameworks, and ready for operational handoff.
In this role, you will translate business requirements into actionable architectures, document network standards and design blueprints, and oversee delivery teams to ensure successful execution. You may also mentor engineers, influence architectural governance, and contribute to innovation initiatives within the practice.
If you enjoy partnering with customers, shaping technical strategy, and guiding organizations through modern cloud and edge networking transformation, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.
