Yard Customer Service Representative (Drive-Thru Lumber Yard)
Schedule: Full-Time | Some Saturdays Required (7AM-12)
Pay: $17–$20 per hour (based on experience)


About the Role
Koopman Lumber is hiring a Yard Customer Service Representative to support our drive-thru lumber yard. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll assist customers, pull orders, and help keep the yard running safely and efficiently.


What You’ll Do
• Greet customers and assist them with orders in the yard
• Pull, stage, and load materials accurately and safely
• Operate forklifts and yard equipment (training provided)
• Load customer vehicles and delivery trucks
• Receive and put away incoming materials
• Process returns and ensure materials are handled correctly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone

Requirements

 

What You Bring
• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Basic math skills and ability to read orders
• Strong work ethic and reliability


Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a lumber yard, warehouse, or building materials environment
• Forklift experience (or willingness to become certified)


Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license required


Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly (heavier with assistance)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, and stay active throughout the day
