A skilled visual communicator who understands that great design is not just about how something looks, it’s about how it performs. You know print inside and out, you take deadlines seriously, and you have the portfolio to prove it. At Community Impact Printing, design is not an afterthought; it is central to what we deliver for our clients and our communities. If you produce work you are proud of and hold yourself to a high standard, we want to hear from you.
Position Overview:
Community Impact Printing is seeking a part-time Graphic Designer with demonstrated experience in print production and advertising design. This role supports clients and internal teams by producing polished, press-ready artwork across a variety of formats, including ads, inserts, direct mail, and branded collateral. The ideal candidate is fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, meticulous about file prep, and comfortable working within brand guidelines while bringing their own creative instincts to the table.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Production:
- Prepare and package files to exact print specifications.
- Move through feedback rounds efficiently without sacrificing quality.
- Design and execute print and marketing materials with strategy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Translate client briefs provided by account managers or sales into clear, compelling visual concepts.
Brand & Communication:
- Stay current on design trends relevant to print advertising and direct mail.
- Apply client brand standards consistently and accurately across all deliverables.
- Use layout, typography, and imagery to communicate message, tone, and hierarchy.
Quality & Workflow:
- Work through a fast-paced queue to produce high-quality print materials with minimal revisions.
- Maintain organized, well-labeled file structures for easy handoff to prepress.
Qualifications:
- Awareness of current trends in print design and advertising.
- Exceptional eye for typography, spacing, color, and visual hierarchy.
- Proven experience designing for print: ads, inserts, direct mail, flyers, or similar formats.
- A portfolio that reflects range, quality, and attention to detail—required for consideration.
- Self-managed and deadline-driven; able to prioritize independently in a part-time capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of print production requirements (bleeds, resolution, color modes, file formats).
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite—InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop are daily tools, not occasional ones.
