Job Summary
Fairgrove Property Management is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience across key areas of the business, including property operations, leasing, maintenance, finance, and people & culture. This structured, rotational program provides real-world exposure to the property management industry, allowing interns to contribute to daily operations, collaborate with experienced professionals, and complete a capstone project that delivers meaningful business impact. Ideal candidates are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in building a career in real estate or business.
Program Details
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Requirements
What You’ll Do
As an intern, you’ll rotate through key departments and gain exposure to:
Property Management
- Assist with leasing, property tours, and resident services
- Support day-to-day property operations by communicating with residents and prospective residents
Maintenance Operations
- Participate in property inspections and unit inspections
- Creating and reviewing work orders in AppFolio
- Learn how maintenance impacts resident satisfaction
Accounting & Finance
- Gain an understanding of rent processing, billing, and owner distributions
- Learn how properties generate revenue
Business Development
- Support prospecting of potential clients, conduct property inspections, and review property management agreements
- Conduct market research and analysis
People & Culture
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement
- Learn how strong company culture is built
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university (Business, Real Estate, Finance, or related field preferred)
- Strong interest in property management, real estate, or business operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); willingness to learn new systems
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
