About the Role

Description

The Part-Time Lead Evening Custodian is responsible for supervising the evening custodial team and ensuring the school building is thoroughly cleaned and secured after daily operations. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all students, staff, and visitors. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and support to the evening custodial team.
  • Assign cleaning duties and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
  • Clean classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas as scheduled.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies
  • Ensure all exterior doors are locked and the building is secure before leaving.
  • Perform walk-through inspections to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.
  • Handle emergency cleaning or maintenance needs during shift.
  • Report any facility issues, repairs needed, or supply shortages to the School Operations Manager.
  • Serve as point of contact for custodial matters during the evening shift.

Compensation:
This is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must pass background check and clearance as required by Louisiana schools.
