About the Role
Community Relations and Bilateral Engagement Coordinator

The Opportunity:
Serve as a subject matter expert and primary liaison for community relations and bilateral engagement initiatives supporting senior leadership. Plan, manage, and execute meetings and engagements with local officials, mayors, prefectural leaders, community organizations, defense associations, and civic leaders. Lead community outreach efforts, identify and analyze community concerns, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. Prepare comprehensive bilingual briefing materials, talking points, and engagement read-ahead packages, and deliver high-quality interpretation and translation support. Advise on cultural considerations, diplomatic protocol, and local political dynamics, providing critical insight into factors influencing United States military operations. Support senior leader engagements, ensure strategic alignment with regional security priorities, and contribute to the effective execution of bilateral coordination and alliance initiatives.

You Have:

  • Experience with local prefectural and national political structures in Japan
  • Knowledge of local political, community, and defense dynamics in Japan
  • Knowledge of regional security strategies and defense posture in Japan
  • Knowledge of United States-Japan alliance issues and bilateral coordination mechanisms
  • Knowledge of agreements such as the Status of Forces Agreement
  • Ability to brief audiences of senior leaders
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience supporting United States military commands
  • Experience engaging with government or defense organizations
  • Experience supporting General Officer engagements
  • Possession of strong interpersonal and diplomatic communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
