The nonprofit difference means that patients, not profits, guide the comprehensive care our patients receive. Our bereavement professionals lead a variety of grief support groups and programs hosted across the 17 counties we serve. Thanks to generous community support, all grief support groups and programs are offered at no cost and maintain an open invitation to anyone in the communities we serve. About the Role

Description

  • The Volunteer Coordinator will supervise and evaluate volunteer participants.
  • The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, screen, select and train volunteers.
  • The Volunteer Coordinator will assess the patient or caregiver’s volunteer needs. Volunteer Coordinator will assign volunteers to meet patient needs and promote volunteer interest and skills.
  • Prepare client clinical and progress notes, incorporating notes into the electronic clinical record.
  • Participate in the development of client’s plan of care and assure compliance for volunteer services.
  • The Volunteer Coordinator will support the agency’s plan of care for services each patient receives through effective coordination with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and attendance at IDT meetings.
  • Volunteer Coordinator will coordinate program events such as Volunteer Training, Volunteer Appreciation Programs, Volunteer Fair and Volunteer Continuing Education programs.

Shift: Part Time, ~25 per week

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Healthcare industry knowledge
  • Experience working with volunteers, or as one
