We specialize in TRD (Treatment Resistant Depression) and use a variety of non-medication treatments that really work! We accept nearly all commercial insurance plans but are not a Medicare or AHCCCS provider. We are one of the most affordable providers of IV Ketamine Infusion Therapy. We are the only TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) providers that use laser and image guidance for accurate coil placement and we offer additional enhancements to TMS treatment at no cost.
About the Role

Description

 Functions as an integral member of the Ketamine department working with the Providers, Nurses, Patients, and other departmental staff to ensure that patients are able to receive Ketamine treatment. The primary focus of the Ketamine CCSII is ensuring that the administration of assigned treatment sessions run smoothly. This is a clinical, non-licensed, position that should have sufficient knowledge of the Ketamine Infusion Therapy (KIT), Ketamine Intramuscular Injection (KII), and Esketamine Intranasal (SPR) therapy to schedule patients, obtain consent, collect payment, track patient progress, schedule bolus groups, collect measurement data (vital signs, height, weight, urine, mental health questionnaires), document, and scribe for the provider during groups.  The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 12:00pm to 8:30 pm.



Main Responsibilities:

The Ketamine CCSII will work as a part of the Clinical and Ketamine teams to ensure that patients receive the best possible care when referred for Ketamine treatment. These are some of the main duties and areas of responsibility for this position.    

  • Have extensive knowledge of Ketamine therapy and treatment as it pertains to company policy and procedure.
  • Act as a liaison between patient, provider, Ketamine Manager, and Ketamine nurses.
  • Answer telephone calls, emails, and online inquires.
  • Coordinate with providers to attend Bolus Groups.
  • Ensure patients are scheduled properly for the bolus groups.
  • Obtain patient information and enter information into systems. 
  • Collect and adequately document information regarding the Ketamine Bolus Clinic.
  • Assist with reconciling Ketamine accounts, payments, balances, credits, patient payment plans.
  • Assist the nurse and provider during the Bolus Groups with hands on patient care.
  • Take vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, O²Sat.
  • Assist patients in the room with providing fluids, blankets, etc.
  • Assist patients to the restroom utilizing the wheelchair when necessary.
  • Assist patients with nausea or vomiting.
  • Document relevant information on the appropriate note template.
  • Monitor patients and assist patients under ketamine to ambulate to the restroom, cope with nausea, and clean up any emesis or other biohazardous events that occur. 
  • Perform other assigned duties. 







Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must work well as part of a team, communicate well with patients, and be comfortable discussing matters of treatment, expectations, and finances. They must be able to perform essential job duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required, this list is not exhaustive.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Experience in a mental health outpatient medical office is preferred
  • Possesses superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability speak, read, and write English fluently, bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of a Windows Computer and Microsoft office products
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in clinical tasks such as obtaining accurate measurements, collecting specimens, etc
  • Must adhere to HIPAA and HIITECH guidelines at all times
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Administer self-rating scales to measure patient progress.
  • Take vital signs.
  • Must be detail oriented and have outstanding follow up skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to discuss payment plans, collect payments, and follow up with patient and billing.
  • Ability to interact with patients in a caring and professional manner. 
  • Must possess a positive mental attitude.
